Louis N. Lembo

Louis (Lou) N. Lembo, 79, of Ridgewood, passed away on November 26, 2022.

Devoted husband to Linda Lembo and loving father to Ruth Anne (Jon) Rice of Washington Township, Louis (Katie) Lembo of Ridgewood, and Michael Lembo of Ridgewood.  Adoring grandfather, affectionately known as “Pa” to his 6 grandchildren: Samantha Rice (22), Emily Rice (22), Lyla Lembo (11), Nicholas Lembo (10), Anthony Lembo (9), and Liam Lembo (6).  Cherished brother of Nicholas (Nicole) Lembo of Lecanto, FL.  Lou will also be greatly missed by many nieces and nephews.

Lou was born in Paterson, NJ and graduated with a BS from Curry College (Boston) and an Allied Health (Respiratory Therapy) degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University.  He is a proud graduate of Travell elementary, BF Middle School, and Ridgewood High School.  Lou and Linda raised their family in Ridgewood where Lou was dedicated to giving back to the community as a Graydon Lifeguard, two-time Chairman of Dad’s Night, builder of July 4th floats, Project Pride volunteer, and Ridgewood Parks and Recs volunteer.   After 30 years of service to Valley Hospital as a Respiratory Therapist, Lou retired and enjoyed volunteering at Habitat for Humanity, spending time with Linda at their lake house and traveling the world, having breakfast with his friends at the diner, and spending as much time with his children, grandchildren and all of the family dogs.  

Visiting Friday 4-8 PM at the Feeney Funeral Home, Ridgewood.  The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel RC Church, Ridgewood.  Interment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, N.J..
