Cathleen (Cathy) Garcia Napolitano, 74, adored wife and mom, died peacefully on Sept. 9, 2021, at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood after a long illness. A lifelong resident of Ridgewood and the area, she graduated from both the Academy and College of Mount Saint Vincent in New York.  She was endlessly generous, and involved in numerous community activities, including decades of volunteer work for Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish in Ridgewood, NJ, and St. Joan of Arc in Sloatsburg, NY.   She was renowned for “Ridgewood Ballroom Dance & Etiquette,” the business she established and operated for many years.  She is survived by her beloved husband, Andy Napolitano Sr. of Ringwood, NJ, and by her children: Kate Napolitano and her husband, Jeff Wrightson, of Kingston, NY, and Andy Napolitano Jr. and his partner, Maggie Cunningham, of Jersey City, NJ; by her brother, Richard Garcia of Sanibel, FL; and by a large, loving family, and friends who were ‘family’.
Visitation will be Monday, Sept. 20, 2021 from 4-8 PM at Feeney Funeral Home, Ridgewood, NJ.  On Tuesday, September 21, 2021, a Mass of the Resurrection will be offered at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Mt Carmel in Ridgewood, NJ.  At the family’s request, the first hour of Visitation (until 5 PM) is reserved for those at high risk for Covid and masks are required for everyone at every event.  
 In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to an organization Cathy championed, St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
